We're thrilled to introduce Jennifer Pepin as our Interim Coordinator of Women's Health Mission. Additionally, Melinda will be stepping into the role of Interim Nurse Manager for the Birthing Centre and Brenda as D6 interim Assistant Nurse Manager. Jennifer and Melinda will officially commence their new roles on September 25th and Brenda on September 6th.

Administrative Coordinator of the Women’s Health
Mission at the MUHC, is the type of leader
everyone needs. She was recently awarded the
prestigious Prix Jeanne-Mance 2021, on behalf of
the Ordre régional des infirmières et infirmiers de
Montréal/Laval (ORIIM/L), for her contribution to
the development of nursing care, as well as improving overall health care for the population.

Hello gang,
I cannot believe Breastfeeding week (Oct 1-7) is here once again!
So much is happening that it seems like it could easily just pass us by. But where it may be such a short time for us, it is a huge thing for our families who chose to breast milk feed their babies! At breast or pumping, their time with us is SO CRITICAL in setting up the best chances of families meeting their breastfeeding goals.

This year's theme is Breastfeeding : A shared responsibility. And as such we will be focusing this year on Hand Expression of milk; Knowing when to use it, teaching it, reviewing it and making sure mothers are comfortable with this crucial skill that every breastfeeding mother should know. There will be competitions! There will be PRIZES!! Watch for more details coming soon!

The direction Sante Public is presenting a free virtual Journée des Professionnelles. The attached poster has details of how you can register to attend as many session as you can. We will be actively playing the presentation in the D6 north conference room and the BC conference room for you to join when you can! The schedule is up on the change rooms and lounges so take a look if there is a subject that may interest you.
